Near the newly built Anzac bridge
Just before New Year's Eve in 2000?
Channel 9 ad saying 'New Millennium Television'
And someone had spray-painted SAME OLD CRAP
We all thought that was so funny and clever
That'll show them, they're not fooling anyone!
Well, now that everyone's having their say
About everything on apps and every website
Billboards for everyone to look in on and admire
Or participate on because, well, we know best
Didn't we all think the internet was progress?
Not this grand revival of fascists and dictators
Their fans using their billboards to put things right
Oh well, I had a good night that new year's eve
Around the corner in a Rozelle apartment
Back when I used to get drunk and dance
Before the arrest and my six months in rehab
Still, the past always seems simpler I suppose
