The owner shakes his head patiently back
'So you get back there and make it'

Avocado too on the plates of the dating pair
She disengaged from him about 3 minutes ago
He looked good on the app she thinks, not here
And what's all his endless crap about bitcoin?

This dog sniffing everyone like it's an airport
Its proud new owner thinks that's cute
But people are stuck in their chairs and can't leave
And now the mutt's holding up the takeaways too

Yet each day we arrive out of habit here
It must be the drug, or the connection?
The fact that we're 'out with others'?
Other strangers that we'll mostly never talk to

Oh god now all the cyclists have arrived
Just in time for the rain to come down
Still, they do make a pretty decent coffee here
If only I had a real life to speak of...
